COIL Project

While taking my microbiology course, I was offered the opportunity to participate in a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project in order to receive  honors credit for the course. This project included working in a group that consisted of other NCSU students as well as students from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic. We were tasked with identifying a misconception in microbiology and creating a visual element to spread correct information. Our focus was on foodborne illnesses and food safety.  This project taught me about leadership and working with diverse groups of people.
